Get a glimpse into the world of real estate. Connect with our teams, learn how the industry works, and discover whether a career in property is right for you.

Take your first step into the property industry through our Opening Doors to Property programme.

Taking place over three days in Spring 2027, this paid insight programme will give you an introduction to Knight Frank, the real estate industry and the wide range of career opportunities available across our business. Based at our Baker Street headquarters in London, you’ll meet professionals from across the firm, gain valuable insights into the world of work and explore where a future career in property could take you.

No previous property knowledge or work experience is required. We’re looking for curious, enthusiastic students who are eager to learn, ask questions and explore new opportunities.

What if my application is unsuccessful?

You can submit one application per year across our Early Careers programmes. If you’re not successful on this occasion, we encourage you to reflect on the experience and consider applying again in a future recruitment cycle, provided you continue to meet the eligibility criteria.

Every year, we receive a high volume of enquiries from students eager to gain exposure to the property industry. We encourage proactive students to reach out directly to teams across the business to explore potential opportunities.

This approach allows individuals to connect with the people and departments most aligned with their interests and ensures any placement is meaningful and relevant.

Be intentional

Be clear and intentional.

  • Know what you’re looking for – identify the area of property you’re interested in and why it appeals to you.
  • Explain your goals – share what you hope to learn or gain from the experience so teams understand how they can help.
  • Tailor your message – personalise your email, rather than sending a generic request.
  • Show you’ve done your research – demonstrate awareness of the team’s work or recent projects to make your enquiry more meaningful.
  • Be realistic and flexible – outline your availability clearly and be open to different formats or lengths of experience.
03 / 03

If you are still exploring whether property could be right for you, we recommend the RICS virtual work experience programme on Springpod. It is a free, on-demand way to learn about different property specialisms, career pathways and employability skills before seeking in-person experience.
